true life: this is an awkward week for me.
clearly sara is uninterested in posting, so i'm going to have to carry this thing. also there are two funny stories i wanted to tell her, but they're are too long for texts and i don't have time to call her today.
dear sara,
1. yesterday i pulled a smalls. it was shameful. i was on my way back from running an errand and happened upon a dyadic soccer game between two students with unidentifiable accents. i was trying to figure out if one guy was from ireland when the ball rolled right up to me. naturally, i thought i'd help them out by kicking it back. so i did...and it traveled approximately 5 1/2 inches. that in and of itself was embarrassing, but so was the determination with which i kept trying because i kept thinking of just how epic my soccer skills had become towards the end of my time in canada. eventually, the non-irish guy came over and was just kind of like, "...thanks..."
as i walked away awkwardly considering the fact that i should have been using the inside of my foot instead of the tip, i realized that my fly had been open the whole time.
2. after taking a shower this morning, i went to pull down my window slash close the blinds so i could get dressed. just as i reached up to pull down the window, my towel fell off leaving me fully exposed to the {thankfully} empty courtyard just outside my window. it was one of those moments where i could feel how horrendous my face must've looked and i literally lol'ed for about 5 minutes.
3. i just want us to be friends. also, i love you {name that sitcom!}

whomp.
dear hbm,
today i texted you. you didn't respond. i had a lovely conversation with gabe-mike {see what i did there? like justin-bobby}, but when i called you hours after the aforementioned unresponsed text, you didn't answer.
whomp.
imagine my short-lived horrification when i get on twitter to see that you'd posted a simple "help." that got our older siblings all riled up.
naturally, i called lass who informed me that you were seated safely at the dinner table.
i'm glad you weren't tied up in an alley somewhere.
call me back, yo.

shades of ray
saturdays were meant for sporting events. but when you have none to attend, random netflix movies are the next best thing. and we seem to have a gift for finding gems. and so we've decided to review them. to broaden your cinema horizons, and let the good times roll...from a reel.
first up, shades of freakin ray:
starring the charming & easy on the eyes zachary levi, shades of ray tells the story of a multiracial aspiring actor who is at a cross roads with his caucasian girlfriend. likewise, his pakastani father & caucasian mother are at odds as empty nesters realizing that they've invested more into their children than they have each other. rooming with his whimisical childhood best friend, sal, ray learns to navigate his relationship with his father, his girlfriend, and someone new.
we give it a 9.7 {out of 10}
* fun fact, zach levi is also the star of nbc's chuck & the voice of tangled's flynn rider
